The Upper Black Forest is one of the most popular “motorcycle destinations” in Germany. Mountainous, winding routes with stunning views around Lake Titisee and Feldberg—through gorges toward the Rhine or over sunny highlands—the riding experience on the high-altitude and scenic roads, in the valleys, and through the gorges is as varied as the landscape itself. In the southern Black Forest, the Alb Valley winds its way for nearly 30 km from Albbruck on the Upper Rhine up to the cathedral town of St. Blasien. Or the Murg Valley in the northern Black Forest: For more than 30 km, the road winds curve after curve from Gernsbach on the western edge of the Black Forest up to Baiersbronn, not far from Freudenstadt on the eastern side of the mountains. Ideal for a motorcycle tour.
